SELT Prescribe Birch Ridge Burn Scheduled for Monday April 27, 2026

The area to be burned – just under 20 acres – is located at the north end of Birch Ridge, roughly 0.25 miles northeast of the cabin near the Birch Hill Road trailhead. The burn will last one day and will be conducted by Star Tree Prescribed Fire in coordination with appropriate state and local agencies including the New Durham Fire Department. Nearby trails will be closed for the duration of prescribed fire operations.

Current Status: Burn scheduled to happen on Monday, April 27.
